About MY BOI KD
MY BOI KD is a community-based nonprofit committed to uplifting underserved youth ages 12–18 who are at high risk for teen pregnancy, substance abuse, and violence. Through comprehensive programs, we offer mentorship, life skills education, and career readiness training to help youth break the cycles of poverty and violence.
Our unique approach centers around providing strong support systems, safe spaces, and opportunities for growth. We connect youth with caring mentors, deliver engaging workshops, and foster positive peer relationships. Every initiative is designed to redirect young people toward healthy, productive, and successful futures.
Our Programs & Services
We provide a holistic range of programs designed to empower youth, reduce risky behaviors, and create safer communities — from mentorship and life skills workshops to career development and violence prevention strategies.
Mentorship Program
Pairs youth with relatable, trained mentors who provide guidance, support, and accountability, helping participants overcome challenges and navigate life’s critical decisions.
Career & Economic Development
Offers job readiness training, entrepreneurship sessions, trade skills workshops, and access to paid internships to increase future employment opportunities.
Violence Prevention & Conflict Resolution
Peer mediation and community violence interruption strategies equip youth with tools for conflict resolution, reducing the risk of violence and fostering safer neighborhoods.
Life Skills & Prevention Education
Interactive workshops teach decision-making, healthy relationships, goal setting, and honest conversations about risky behaviors and their real-world consequences.
Safe Spaces & Engagement Activities
After-school and weekend programs feature recreational and creative arts activities, open gyms, and safe places for youth to connect, learn, and thrive.
